The Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York, Inc. (VNA) has selected Uniland Development Company to build its new Erie County headquarters in the Airborne Business Park in Cheektowaga, NY.
The new headquarters will accommodate 600 VNA employees in a state-of-the-art 45,000-square-foot, single-story building located at 650 Airborne Parkway near Holtz Drive. The new facility will centralize operations that are currently in three separate buildings.
Working with Uniland Director of Leasing Kevin Szmania and local brokerage firm, CBRE|Buffalo, the VNA was attracted to Airborne’s proximity to their patients and staff since the location is within a 20-minute drive of 90 percent of Erie County’s population. Adjacent to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport and near Metro Bus routes, Airborne is situated near local dining and retail amenities as well as the I-90 New York State Thruway.
The VNA believes its new headquarters will support their continued growth.
“The new location will be designed and newly built to best fit our needs,” said Judy Baumgartner, president of the Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York. “With the significant changes in technology and daily operations over the last 20 years, it is imperative that we design a flexible and adaptable workspace that will allow more accessibility to field staff and branches and support our continued growth.”
Kaleida sees the new headquarters as an important boost for the VNA.
“The VNA is a strategic asset of Kaleida Health and its imperative that we support its employees and the organization itself,” said Jody Lomeo, president & CEO of Kaleida Health.
CBRE|Buffalo is glad to have navigated the VNA through a successful office search.
“CBRE|Buffalo was proud to serve as the advisor to VNA in the evaluation of their space needs, ultimately finding a way to create what we believe will be a more efficient and engaging office experience for the employees in one central location,” said Shana Stegner, managing director for CBRE|Buffalo.
The VNA joins leading firms with offices at Airborne Business Park, a complex owned and operated by Uniland. Other tenants including ACE Insurance, Aerotek, Citizens Bank, M&T Bank, Sodexo, and Willis of New York, among others. Approximately 30 acres of shovel-ready land are available to support state-of-the-art corporate operations or hospitality services at the business park.
