Uniland Development Company has announced the promotion of Paul W. Evans, Jr., CPA, CGMA, to Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Mr. Evans will collaborate with Uniland CEO Michael J. Montante to set and drive the company’s organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs. As COO, Mr. Evans overseas Uniland’s company operations and associate productivity and actively builds up an inclusive corporate culture that ensures that team members thrive, and organizational outcomes are met. In addition to his corporate-level leadership, Mr. Evans is responsible for overseeing, managing, planning, implementing, and controlling all Finance & Accounting, Talent Operations, and Information Technology related activities at the company.

A member of the Uniland team since 1992, Mr. Evans has over 35 years of financial and operational management experience in the private and public sectors, with a focus on developing policies and procedures to improve financial performance and organizational productivity. Prior to assuming his current role in 2022, Mr. Evans was the Director of Finance and Tax Services. Earlier, he served as the company’s Senior Financial Manager and Corporate Controller for more than 20 years.
In addition to Mr. Evans’ work across the organization, he is also committed to the broader community. Over the years, he has been a member of the Canisius College Council of Accountancy, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and an advisory board member with Dopkins & Company, LLP. With a passion for opportunities for youth, he has served as chairman of the Boy Scouts of America Audit Committee, a board member of Little League Baseball, a volunteer instructor with Junior Achievement and a beloved coach of youth baseball, football, and basketball. He is an alumnus of the University at Buffalo.
