Uniland Development Property Acquisition

Amherst-based developer Uniland Development Company has announced the acquisition of 1.97 acres from ICC Commonwealth (International Chimney) in the Village of Williamsville.  The acquisition includes four separate parcels along South Long Street adjacent to South Long Park and proximate to the historic Williamsville Lehigh Valley Depot and the start of the Lehigh Memorial Trail.

“We see this as a strategic location,” highlighted Uniland CEO Michael J. Montante.  “To acquire nearly 2 acres of property in the heart of the Village of Williamsville with many already-established walkable amenities and recreational options nearby – it really provides a wealth of future redevelopment options.”

Uniland has not announced any immediate development plans while acknowledging that the area is well-situated for future residential, commercial, or retail uses.

“Uniland has a long-history of re-inventing properties,” noted Director of Development Kellena Kane.  “Through rejuvenating our commercial corridors, we have the opportunity to revitalize the unique characteristics of communities in our region.”

The Village of Williamsville has invested significantly in the area in recent years.  A destination for recreational activity, renovations are currently underway on South Long Park which runs between Uniland’s acquired properties.  In 2021, the Williamsville Lehigh Valley Depot welcomed a diesel locomotive for a static display overlooking the Lehigh Memorial Trail entrance.
