Plans to redevelop the Eastern Hills Mall into Western New York’s first walkable, mixed-use Town Center will soon take the next step as ownership has announced that it will begin vacating interior portions of the mall in early 2024. The move streamlines the process for partial demolition and redevelopment of the mall property after municipal approvals are secured.

Ribbon Cutting held to celebrate new Uniland Distribution and Advanced Manufacturing Facility at the former Bethlehem Steel site in Lackawanna
Local community leaders gathered at 8 Dona Street in Lackawanna for a ceremonial ribbon cutting for Uniland’s new distribution and advanced manufacturing facility. Built on “spec” – meaning without an anchor tenant – Uniland has fully leased the 150,000-square-foot building and has begun construction on a second spec building, adjacent to 8 Dona, at 2 Steelworkers Way.

Total Quality Assurance International (TQAI), who announced last fall that they would lease 81,000 SF at Uniland Development Company’s 8 Dona Street, has increased its total leased space to 108,000 SF. TQAI, which recently took occupancy at 8 Dona, now occupies more than two-thirds of the new industrial warehouse building in Lackawanna’s Renaissance Commerce Park.
