Uniland Named 2025 Development Company of the Year by Buffalo Business First

Kelly Maloney

Director of Construction

Kelly Maloney has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, including some of Western New York’s most prominent construction projects of its current renaissance era. With a proven track record of managing major projects from concept to completion, Ms. Maloney has built a reputation for delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Her expertise spans a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, and institutional, where she has successfully managed large-scale new construction and extensive renovation projects to award-winning results.

A member of the Uniland team since 2024, Ms. Maloney is actively involved in the National Association of Women in Construction Buffalo-Niagara Chapter and the Construction Exchange of Buffalo & WNY, among other industry organizations. She is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in the construction industry, particularly for Minority Women Business Enterprises (MWBE). In her prior role as Senior Project Manager at Gilbane Building Company, Ms. Maloney led their EmpoWer employee resource group and provided mentorship to women in the industry. Earlier, she held construction project management roles at RP Oak Hill Building Company, LiRo Engineers, and CannonDesign, respectively. Beyond the construction site, Ms. Maloney is active in the community, including as a leading fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Big Wigs fundraiser to advance breast cancer research and support patients.


Career Highlights

  • Ralph Wilson Centennial Park, Buffalo, NY: Led a $160 million renovation of a 100-acre urban waterfront park, overseeing earthwork, grading, bridge construction, electrical work, landscaping, and athletic field development on the shoreline of Lake Erie in downtown Buffalo.
  • ECMC Hospital, Buffalo, NY: Managed an $80 million contract for WNY’s only Level 1 Trauma Hospital, including lobby upgrades, exterior envelope improvements, curtainwall installation, precast coating, and roof replacement.
  • Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, Buffalo, NY: A core member leading major renovations for medical and research facilities on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus; the first center specifically focused on cancer research in the United States.
  • Robert H. Jackson United States Courthouse, Buffalo, NY: A key member of the construction team that led the $130 million, 235,000 SF federal courthouse in historic Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo.
