Uniland Talent Operations Manager Amy M. Nicosia, PHR, has been recognized by Buffalo Business First as an HR Impact Award winner for 2024. The award celebrates the heroes of the office who inform, organize, and innovate.
As Talent Operation Manager, Ms. Nicosia guides and manages the overall function of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the largest commercial real estate developer in Western New York. The Talent Operations Manager role spans corporate recruiting and staffing, HR department planning, company onboarding, talent management, professional development, policy development and documentation, employee communications as well as compensation and benefits administration. As Uniland’s most senior Human Resources leader, she reports directly to our Chief Operating Officer, Paul W. Evans.

A member of the Uniland team since 2009, Ms. Nicosia has been the company’s Talent Operations Manager since 2021. In 2017, she earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) credential from the HR Certification Institute, a global leader in professional credentialing for the HR profession. Some of her career milestones include enhancing Uniland’s benefits and corporate culture for associates, earning Uniland recognition as the winner of Business First’s WNY Healthiest Employer Award, launching MyUniland’s R.I.S.E. (Recognize, Inspire, Succeed, and Encourage) Intranet site, introducing Uniland’s town hall meetings, and chairing the company’s 50th anniversary planning committee.

An alumna of the University at Buffalo, Ms. Nicosia is a member of the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association and the Personnel Management Group of the Niagara Frontier as well as the client co-leader of major Uniland project implementations with Yardi Systems. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, traveling, exercising, and spending quality time with her family.
